Steve West - Dojo Cho
Began martial arts training in Jujitsu in 1979 in Auckland, and Aikido in 1986, before being graded Shodan by Dianne Haynes sensei in Rotorua in 1993. I currently hold the position of Yondan (4th Dan). More recently I graded shodan in the traditional Japanese sword style, Yagu Shinkage Ryu under the direction of Paul Araki-Metcalfe, Shihan.
I opened Mitcham Aikido in 2010 in Melbourne Australia as part of my commitment to my own learning of Aikido and in teaching others who have a similar desire to explore this wonderful art.

We welcome all new students aged 12 years and above
