TATSU GI KAI
Tatsu Gi Kai was formed in 1990, based out of the Rotorua Aikido Dojo. The formation of this not for profit incorporated society was established to bring together dojo's from around New Zealand in the spirit and training of Aikido.
Our style is unique in New Zealand and builds from the Founders (O-Sensei) physical and philosophical ideals of peaceful conflict resolution. The structure of our syllabus provides a frame work for our student to understand Aikido concepts.
The Chief instructor of Tatsu Gi Kai, Sensei Dianne Haynes, started Aikido in 1976 and has been awarded her 6th Dan (Rokudan) black belt in 2021.
All member Dojo's are affiliated to California Aikido Association (CAA), which is an officially recognized organisation by the Aikikai Foundation, Hombu Dojo, Tokyo, Japan.
